Fredag; du scroller i dit feed og søger lidt rundt.. (stadig liggende i sofaen, med Haribo mixen indenfor rækkevidde). Du har ringet til din mor, for at få en peptalk og blive mindet om, at du havde svømning i skolen. Det var vidst noget med, at du havde vundet en miniput sprint i rygcrawl ? 🧐
Det er faktisk også ved at være lidt kedeligt at køre Amager runden alene. Du er klar til det næste skridt. Men hvilken klub skal du vælge?
I København og omegn har vi mange fantastiske klubber, men du leder efter det der sweetspot der er imellem “jeg kommer kun for pizzaen og medbringer løbeskoene, for hvis nu 🤷🏼‍♀️” og “planen er at vinde Challenge Roth og derefter dominere verdensranglisten” 🏆
Og lige der, der finder du KTK86. Vi er nemlig klubben der binder bredden og eliten sammen og vi er stolte af, at tilbyde en klub for dem, som lige har dyppet tæerne i vand og kender sine klikpedaler og nu gerne vil prøve at blive lidt bedre. Uanset om lidt bedre er, at prøve kræfter med sin første tri eller du er en seriøs age-grouper, der har ledt med lys og lygte efter andre, som også har tabt sutten og mener at en “normal” uge indeholder 10-15+ timers træning 🤷🏼‍♀️ Eller måske du allerede har mistet forstanden fuldstændig og tænker, at i år, er året du køber PRO licens 🚀
I KTK86 arbejder vi med et struktureret træningsprogram, som kan tilpasses dit niveau. Vi har et dygtigt og professionelt træner team, der kan hjælpe dig med at nå dine mål og blive en bedre triatlet. Og det vigtigste!! Der er en masse dejlige KTK’er der giver støtte, gode råd og som gerne deler …nej.. nej, vent; gerne køber ekstra træstammer 👍🏽 og hjælper dig i våddragten når sæsonen lige om lidt skydes igang ved Svanemølle strand 🤩

THE WEEKEND AINT OVER YET!
Saturday was a blast 🚀 Short and long distance athletes coming together and having fun! Flyvepladsen was busy but that’s how we like it ☀️
Amazing to have so many join the brick session. It makes the hard training that much easier, when we have each other 🤗
Tomorrow is another training day. Make sure to get in some good sleep 😴

A BIG congratulations to our coach @jenspetersenbach for taking home the prize as “Talent Developer of the year” at this years Danmarksmesterfesten held at Copenhagen Municipality 🥳
We are so proud of you Jens and all the work you do in KTK86!
Each year Team Copenhagen and Copenhagen municipality celebrates sports talent that makes a significant contribution to their sport by supporting the development of new talent and makes a positive impact on the local training environment.
Jens has over the past year made his contribution known, both through his athletes who continues to deliver top results at the world stage of triathlon, but also in the day to day training at KTK86. His determination to combine quality training and professional insight with empathy, camaraderie and a hint of good humor 😉is what makes him great! Congratulations Jens! 💫🏆

TAKE OVER TIME! 💫
Today @emilietimm will take over our instagram 🥰
Before Emilie started triathlon she spend 10+ years as a competitive equestrian and when she decided it was time to stop, she switch one saddle out with another as her parents gave her a road bike and shortly after she decided to challenge herself at 4-18-4 💪🏽
That was such a success that Emilie is now 3 years in and working towards her first Ironman, which is also her goal for this season 🤗
When entering triathlon all disciplines where new to Emilie and especially the swim was quite a steep learning curve. To get more confident in the water Emilie signed up to some swim courses for adults and after a while she joined KTK86
About the training in KTK86 Emilie says: “I really like the fellowship and the very skilled coaches. From my time as an equestrian I have learned the importance of training with people who are a more skilled so that you can learn from them. That is really motivating! My favorite part of training is that we get to be out in all kinds of weather, that we have each other and the consistent training”
To everyone that are new to triathlon, Emilies best advise is to: “Just do it. Join a club or find someone that you can train with especially for the bike rides having someone to ride with just gives a good sense of safety. And always ask questions. There are no stupid questions”
When Emilie is not training for triathlon she is a partner and COO in the company Keystone. So, balancing work and training is discipline all on its own!

TUESDAY T A K E O V E R!
Say hallo to @noia_de_mon who will be running our instagram for today 💫
Sonia came into triathlon about 8years ago and did so, a little out of the blue. She hadn’t really done sports up until that point, but having gone through a depression at that time in her life, triathlon gave a structure to the every day that really helped her find her footing again.
Sonia’s strongest discipline is the bike, which she credits to all the commute rides and her favorite part of training is that feeling right after the main set where you can just take a moment to appreciate the hard work you’ve put in ❤️
Sonia says about the training in KTK86: “ I Iove that we all push and cheer for each other and everybody is super committed. This year I’ll be racing Norseman in august and the goal is to be one of the first females to get a black t-shirt, because white doesn’t go well with my skin tone 😉 “
The KTK crew are definitely rooting for you to get that black t-shirt! 💪🏽
To round things off, Sonia also shared a few words to people who want to start triathlon:
“ Respect and trust the process. I see a lot of beginners jumping straight into the middle and long distance without knowing themselves, to later get either burnt out or injured. Triathlon is a lifestyle not a box to tick”

Mathilde was introduced to triathlon when she was a spectator at a Mallorca race and combined with her curiosity about how you can challenge your mind and body, triathlon seemed like the perfect sport. Mathilde had to learn all three disciplines from scratch and now her strongest discipline is the run.
When Mathilde is not training she works as an Air traffic controller and her goal for this season is to learn to balance life and training with more focus on the process of the training instead of chasing a specific result.

Mathildes favorite part of training is feeling the progress and the satisfaction of a good workout - Mathilde says;
“Training with KTK86 is always fun and being with awesome people who motivates you and makes you perform your best”

Mathildes advice for anyone who is new to the sport;
“My advice for people who are just starting with triathlon is to get a coach, so you have someone to help you reach your goal in the right pace and with the right training, and then remember to enjoy and trust the process!”

@sif_madsen åbnede 2021 sæsonen med hendes World Triathlon Championship Series debut og første gang på OL distancen med en 32. plads i Yokohama. Hun fik nogle gode point til OL kvalifikationen og en masse erfaring! Nu er hun på vej til Lissabon, hvor hun skal køre Mixed Relay OL kvalifikationsstævne og World Cup næste weekend!

Denne weekend: @magnuselbaekditlev & @vistigraae er i Utah, hvor der i morgen køres Ironman 70.3 St. George, som også er North American Championships. Feltet er kæmpe stort, og med mange store navne! Det bliver spændende at se, hvad holdets 2 nørder kan udrette, på en rute alle atleter udråber til “my favorite course”.

Alt imens er @sif_madsen på træningsweekend med OL bruttotruppen, da hendes 2021 sæson meget snart starter!

Holdets yngste mand @oliver_sahlberg vandt i dag første runde af @triatlondanmark DM serie!

Hvad holdet har at sige: “Oli har virkelig forbedret sig i løbet af vinteren! Han har arbejdet benhårdt. Til tider har han givet sig så meget, at han måtte få coach’s dyrebare Monster, for at kunne komme hjem fra træning”

Hvad Oli har at sige om dagens race: “Første duathlon blev kørt med @lukasbentsen. Anden duathlon var sindssygt taktisk, hvor det hele endte i et sprintopgør. Derudover mega fedt at kunne køre race igen, og tak til @triatlondanmark”

@vistigraae og @magnuselbaekditlev er i gang med de sidste forberedelser til @challengedavos, det første store non-draft stævne siden Corona pandemiens indtog. Idag kørte de race pace, op af den ene af de to stigninger, de skal køre på lørdag, med rigtig gode takter!
